The Heritage Table began as a dream in 1998 when founder and chef Jonathan Matthews opened our first location in New York City. With a passion for authentic American cuisine and a commitment to excellence, Jonathan created a dining experience that honored tradition while embracing innovation.
What started as a single 50-seat restaurant has grown into a celebrated culinary destination with seven locations across the United States. Despite our growth, our core values remain unchanged: exceptional quality, warm hospitality, and a deep respect for the art of fine dining.

Jonathan Matthews opens the first Heritage Table in Manhattan's Upper East Side, a 50-seat restaurant focused on reimagined American classics.
The Heritage Table receives its first Michelin star and opens a second location in Los Angeles, bringing our vision to the West Coast.
